Our favourite "Indian" restaurant, although it's actually Nepalese. The owners are delightful and nothing is too much trouble. Try the "momo", delicious handcrafted little steamed dumplings, served with a sauce to-die-for. Or be tempted by the lamb or chicken in black lentils. So many of their dishes are totally different from the tomato-based Bangladeshi-style of cooking. We discovered this restaurant not long after a visit to northern India and found it was very authentic. The chef and owner, Mr A, will adjust the heat to your liking as well. What are you waiting for?!
We are in the middle of a large family holiday. We booked at 5.00pm for a 9.00pm arrival time. There were 26 of us, they said that they could do a set meal with two or three starters & mains & side dishes, or we could all order from the menu what we would like individually, although they said that would take a little longer to cook & arrive. Yes they were correct, it did arrive a little later, but when it did arrive, it was brought out very quickly & it was delicious, it was freshly cooked & well worth the little extra time. Considering there were so many people descending on them en-mass with no idea what we were having, they did a brilliant job. Excellent food, excellent service & excellent staff. Highly recommended.

This was clearly a popular destination as the main restaurant was fully booked on a Wednesday but they had space for our family in the pub area. The staff were very friendly and professional and served our meal promptly even though they were busy. The food was lovely, and our family sampled a selection of the menu, including the carvery that had an excellent variety and succulent meat and vegetables. The beer on offer was also excellent and we tried the local ale and was not disappointed! All in all, this was a wonderful experience for both adult and child alike.
Lovely place for just a few drinks or full on meal. We hadn't booked on a Friday night and the restaurant was fully booked but we were able to have restaurant menu in the bar area which was adequate. We were advised of a 45minute wait, which was accurate and a waitress came and let us know we hadn't been forgotten as people around us were getting their food. When food arrived it was awesome! Portions were generous and it was very hot. The lasagne and chefs pie were very meaty which made a great change to other places. Also the menu had a few surprising meal choices which again made a lovely change. Definitely would go back but would book; we had 3 mains, 1 starter, 1 kids meal plus 4 drinks (2 alcoholic) and it came to just over £50.

Lovely accommodation but very haunted. I suffered a heart attack next day on my return home after staying in haunted room.
Beautiful country pub and made to feel very welcome here. Happly to serve us lunch although it was late and the food was good.
